Our beautiful baby girl! Hardly a baby anymore. She understands most of what we tell her, and to our delight, when we say the word no, she usually listens. Just this week she started blowing kisses, which of course Grandma is thrilled about (which is what she is doing in the picture below).

So, I know I keep talking about it, but Grace is so funny with this chair that she thinks is hers. She will try to sit on it, and after awhile, if it's just not happening, she gives up and just flops down on it, staying it whatever position she lands in. It's hilarious. Kinda like a beached whale.

On Saturday, Evan and I went mini-golfing with his friend Christopher and his mom. Since Eric had to work, I dropped Gracie off at Aunt Mary's house, so that golfing would be easier and I wouldn't be chasing her all around.

Pictures from golfing:

Mary has a swing set in her backyard that Evan loves. He asked specifically for the hammock swing, and to my surprise, when we put Gracie in with him, they both loved it. This will be a picture we look back on with happiness and love.

A few pics from Sunday...Evan again looking older than a 4 year old, and Gracie continuing to love the lamb stuffed animal/chair.

What a good boy to let mama take his picture. I often can't refuse to dress him like a man, and when I look at the pictures it's hard to believe he's only 4 years old!

Like mother, like daughter? While there are similar physical traits, Gracie is also very much like me when it comes to knowing what she wants.

I was definitely not planning on buying this stuffed animal toy chair when we visited Costco last week. But as you can see, it's adorable. And the kids love it. I might have to get another one, as they are kind of having trouble sharing it :)

And here is Gracie as we were shopping at Costco. It was just kind of amusing they way she would cross her arms and lean on the handle, babble and talk to people as we'd pass by.

Gracie just loves to play in Evan's room...if we are anywhere upstairs, she makes her way there. She particularly loves to sit on his bed and read a book or snuggle with a stuffed animal.

Father & Son.

St. Patrick's Day.

Eric had to work all weekend, so the kids and I headed out on St. Patrick's day for our own little adventure. We were meeting Mary, Kit & Austin for lunch downtown and then going to watch the parade that went around the square. Downtown was PACKED. Tons of people enjoying the lovely weather and all the festivities. We managed to get lunch and off it was to the parade - that quickly go overcrowded, making it hard for Evan to see anything. So we didn't stay long, which turned out ok because it gave us time to nap at Grandma & Grandpa's house. Then, Aunt Anne & Uncle Mike had a party at their house which was great fun. Evan played with his cousins and Gracie did what she does best...wander around and occasionally stop to smile at someone.

Here is Evan with his St. Patrick's Day treat - a shamrock shake. And Gracie is watching Evan and the other kids play from Anne & Mike's deck.

Not much to say about these photos, just that I like them.

Last week Aunt Barb & Uncle Jim invited Evan to attend a children's play downtown at the Overture Center. Evan was so excited to be going with "just Barb & Jim". I dropped him off and then grabbed a cup of coffee while I waited for the play to end. Evan loved the play and afterwards getting to go on stage and run around.

Just within the last week, I think we've hit about every park in Sun Prairie, along with the other 10,000 residents of the town. I LOVE IT! Winter can be gone for good, if I have anything to do with it :)
