I was giving Evan a haircut and for awhile have been trying to get him to let me take a picture of him with a mohawk, just because I thought he would look cute and enjoy having a picture of it. Before now he never even wanted a picture, but this time he was ok with it, and actually wanted to keep the mohawk. We let him have it for 2 days and then finished his normal buzz cut. I'm not a fan of mohawks, but have to admit he looked kinda cute.

Finally...PIGTAILS! She looks so freaking cute. Thanks to Grandma for finally doing something with her hair :) It took Gracie a few days to like them, but now she loves it.

The kids had fun at the community center making their own stuffed animal, coloring and enjoying snacks afterwards. Evan named his crab Mad Dasher and especially likes his pinchers.

A few weekends ago Evan and I participated in a fundraiser at the high school - it was a mother/son event in which there were games/events/puzzles scattered throughout the high school with various prizes and rewards at each checkpoint. We had a great time and happy to help out a few high school clubs with our donation.

Evan attended a birthday party last weekend and they set up an obstacle course at a nearby park...the kids LOVED it. Evan especially, he finished before the other kids and immediately stood by the finish line waiting to high-five everyone. I was proud of his enthusiasm.

Little Miss Independent, just had to carry the bag into the club. She walked VERY slowly as the bag weighed almost as much as she does, but she insisted on carrying it the entire way. She got many laughs from people as they exited the building.

Had the chance to attend a soundcheck and then meet the members from the band Garbage. It was great, they were very nice and gracious. I love my job!

The kids and I met my parents at Sam's Club so I could get my tires rotated and balanced, and grabbed a quick lunch. When Evan had to use the restroom, Grandpa took him. Gracie got up and started to follow them, and I told her to please stay at the table. She was not happy. Pouted for a good 3 minutes just as the picture shows.

Evan had his yearly eye exam at Grandpa's office, and I think Grace was more excited than Evan. She seriously like the chair that went up and down. I had a difficult time getting her off the chair so that Evan could have the exam :) Turns out Evan is SLIGHTLY near-sighted, but no need to do anything at this point.

Some pictures from when Grandma was babysitting.

The day before Easter we met Kylie and her kids in Middleton for a large and rather chaotic Easter egg hunt. Lots of snow and ice on the ground, but it was ok. Evan and Bennett got lots of eggs, but Gracie and Tate, who were in a different area, didn't get any. Gracie didn't care at all - I don't think she really understood. I felt bad for Tate though, he was bummed. Still, the kids had a good time.

 .

We had a lovely Easter dinner at Mary's house with my parents, Mary, Laura, Kit, Steve, Randy, Amy, Jackson, Mya & Lainey. Everyone else was down in Florida for spring break. Still, Mary's house was rockin'. The kids had a BLAST doing an Easter egg hunt in the basement. They each got like 25 eggs. It was a lot of fun. After, a heated game of hide-and-seek, which is what the kids are doing in the bottom picture. Dinner was delicious!

Snow has finally melted in the backyard and the weather was warm enough to be outside without gloves. Lily and Ian came over to play - Gracie has a new best friend. She followed Lily around the entire time saying her name over and over. Very cute.

First tennis session of 2013! Kids had a lot of fun. Reminder to self: be sure to bring Gracie her own racket, or there will be trouble.
