I guess she wasn't ready to wake from her little snooze in the car. So dramatic.

Evan and Lily playing a little tennis while Gracie looks on.

Exploring the beautiful Olbrich Gardens.

She is 100% attitude.

Some cute things the kids have said/done over the past few days:

Evan (to Grace): I love you more than Power Rangers.
Grace: I love you more than flowers.
Evan: I love you more than dinosaurs.
Grace: Dinosaurs aren't real!

Sometimes Evan and Grace will sleep on the floor in our bedroom. The other night, Evan was on the floor next to my side of the bed and between the wall. Grace came in and said she wanted to sleep in our room. So Evan went and got her sleeping bag and pillow and then moved his stuff to the end of our bed and put Gracie next to me. Grace asked him why he was doing that and he replied, "So that if a bad guy comes in at night I can protect you." Heart melt.

We had dinner at a our friends house last week and Grace was very taken with dressing up like a princess. Our friends were super nice and let her keep most of the outfit, so the next day we completed the outfit and got her shoes. It was so nice of her friend Tenley to give her the dress...Grace has not taken it off in three days :)

We celebrated my Great Aunt Alice's 100th birthday last week...so many people came from all over the country! She's an amazing woman who is very loved. The highlight of the party was when her grandson (who used to work for President Bush) presented her with a signed letter from President and First Lady Obama, as well as a signed letter and picture from the POPE! It was so cool. I cried.

Another memorable Fourth of July in the books. This years weather was FANTASTIC. Never really got hot, which compared to last year was a welcomed relief.
