uw volleyball.

We had a great time last night at the women's volleyball game at the Fieldhouse. Evan was able to run around and we finally got to meet BUCKY! Evan wasn't scared of him at all, and I love the picture of him standing next to Bucky looking up at him. The look on this face is priceless...like, "Is he really here? Is it really Bucky?"

sunday afternoon - halloween party.

FREEZING COLD! AND WINDY! Evan got blown over by the wind at our neighborhood halloween party. But the kids managed to have a good time as the adults sipped hot apple cider. Evan wore his lion costume, so later this week he'll try the other two that are still in the basement.

sunday - pumpkin carving with family and friends.

Aunt Barb & Uncle Jim invited us over for a wonderful lunch followed by pumpkin carving. Other families were there so Evan was plenty entertained. Lots of fun!

badger hockey - saturday night.

Eric scored tickets to the men's hockey game vs. Minnesota so it was the perfect time to break out Evan's hockey jersey. We also took his hockey stick and puck so he could play in the hallways if need be. We had a great time even though we only stayed for the first quarter. Evan loved watching the band and kept pointing at them the entire time.

qp fundraiser - saturday.

Saturday afternoon the school all my cousins attended had a fundraiser for their principal that is battling brain cancer. There was food, games, crafts, and the 3 huge balloon rides/jumpers. Evan mostly just watched as I struggled to keep warm. It was a little chilly, although I am kind of a wuss when it comes to the cold.

homecoming parade - friday.

Kyla and I drove the WOLX van in the UW Homecoming Parade that traveled State Street. It was fun, despite the 100 lb. speaker that had to sit on my lap, blaring oldies into my ear.

I've been babysitting all week, so Evan, Eric, and Wrigely have been over to visit many times. Evan loved having yet another place to run around in and explore. Although, I must say, Wrigley was the happiest. The Wilson's have an awesome fenced-in backyard (that is HUGE), so she was able to run at will. It was a fun week for everyone!

EDIT: I can't believe I forgot to mention this...Evan said his first word - CRACKER. Not as great as Momma or Dadda, but still, it's a word!
