My parents and Aunt Kit took Evan to the Memorial Day Parade in Monona and said Evan had a blast. Got something like 90 pieces of candy :) Eric should have no problem eating all of it. Normally we all go, but this year I had to work and Gracie was feeling a little under the weather so Eric stayed home with her. Lucky for Evan Grandma & Grandpa are always up for an adventure!

As we are driving down the road, Evan says "Look, the sun is shining through the clouds." Eric and I both say, "Yeah, that's pretty", to which Evan replies "Daddy, take a picture of it and send it to someone you love." I HAVE to make sure I put that in his baby book :)

I know, I know...I keep talking about how Gracie just loves Evan and thinks he is the coolest. This has never been as apparent as last night, when she literally followed him around the house and had to do whatever he did. She took his pillow and made it her own, when he took of his hat and sunglasses, she put them on. When he laid down to watch TV, she sat right next to him and patted him on the head. I think there is the perfect age difference between them - Evan exhibits patience with her, and actually thinks she's cute. And since he is patient and kind to her, Grace is learning how to share and doesn't throw too many tantrums when she doesn't get what she wants.

How do you make a 4-year-old as happy as he can possibly be? Get him his very own Ford-150! Our friends Darrin & Janelle were selling their electric truck as well as John Deere tractor, and we happily took them off of their hands - Evan LOVES them. Our backyard is perfect for cruising around, now we just have to deal with Evan wanting to drive it 5 hours a day :)
