the park.

Wednesday night we went over to the Ripple's house for dinner and walked across the street for some basketball and to play on the playground.

We've been outside every possible minute this week taking advantage of the weather. Evan particularly likes his lacrosse stick and running to the neighbors to see if they want to play.

THE TURKEY IS BACK! This time really taunting Ms. Wrigley by standing on her porch and staring her down. Evan enjoyed watching the bird and for the rest of the day kept looking for it out the back door.

Sunday afternoon we went to the Zoo (along with the rest of Madison). Evan had a great time and especially liked it when the tiger walked RIGHT PAST HIM. Oh my.

After the zoo we headed back downtown for a walk down State Street and a slice of pizza from Ian's. All the time I thought about how excited I am for summer and the weather that comes with it.

These are my two favorite shots from the day. I think they need to find a frame on our wall.

What a beautiful weekend! We spent most of it outdoors. Sunday I drove the Triple M van in the St. Patrick's Day Parade, which travels the square around the Capitol. There were so many people dressed up and excited for the day.

My alma mater, and Eric's current employer, Middleton High School was represented well this past weekend in the girls state basketball tournament. Friday night, after beating Verona in the first round on Thursday, MHS played the mighty Milwaukee Vincent. The girls did really well the first half, but couldn't keep up with them in the second. It was still lots of fun to be a part of the crowd and cheer for the home team.

Notice that Evan is holding a basketball; it's the only way we can get him to remain calm while at games. If he sees a ball and doesn't have one, it's not pretty.

A few pictures of Evan's favorite things to do around the house. Dancing to Imagination Movers, watching Imagination Movers, playing his xylophone, and of course, playing basketball.

It's quite entertaining to watch him do any of these. Eric taught him to dance; hit his knees, clap, and turn around with arms in the air. When he plays his xylophone, he bobs his head and taps his feet. And as for basketball, it usually involves a few quick screams and then delight over shooting the ball and seeing where it goes.

A TURKEY IN OUR BACKYARD! There used to be 6 of them a few years ago, when they all were much smaller and not as bold and confident. Now there appears to be just one, and this one goes where it wants. We'll have to be careful with Wrigley, she doesn't stand a chance against this bird!
