Evan making his own stuffed animal at the community center. We got lucky because Gracie was all about coloring - I thought for sure she'd be upset that she wasn't able to make one. Dodged a bullet there.

Early one morning I noticed Gracie was particularly grumpy. Usually taking photos of her doesn't help her mood, but I couldn't resist. I snuck up on her and snapped a few pics and she didn't even flinch. Already good at ignoring her mama :)

We are updating our basement bathroom and laundry room, and we needed the help of my dad for a few things, namely pulling out old cabinets and sinks. Grace decided the project couldn't continue without her input.

Grace Rosemary is TWO! We had a birthday dinner/Christmas with Barb & Jim on Sunday, her actual birthday. My mom got her this cute tiara, and she wore it while she enjoyed her birthday cupcake. She is such a fun little girl, challenging at times but smart as a whip. We love her to pieces.

 

 

Aunt Mary got Grace this Hello Kitty sleeping bag for her birthday, and it is not just Gracie that loves it. Both kids snuggled and to my surprise, got along pretty well. In fact, out of the blue, I looked over at Evan and he patted Gracie's head and simply said, "I love you Grace." Made me quickly forget that lately all they have been doing is arguing over toys :)

We have a problem...it involves our youngest child and the iPad...yep, you guessed it, she's obsessed with it. Good luck trying to take it away from her!

So happy the kids stayed still long enough to get these pictures...I just love them!

 

Evan and Grace got to spend some time with Laura, Austin, Mary, Kit and Max so that Eric and I could go see a movie. They had a blast playing outside, sledding, building forts, and having a snowball fight.

 

 

My mom FINALLY got out of the hospital this week, so we watched the Rose Bowl at my parents house. The kids were more interested in watching a movie on Eric's phone. Didn't even have to ask Evan to put his arm around Gracie, he did it all on his own :)

So far Evan's favorite toys from Christmas has been these Angry Birds stuffed animals. I grabbed a bunch from Amazon.com when I saw a great sale...they normally sell for around $12.99, but I got them for $3.99 each! He loves them.

Swimming with the Hampton's and Young's! Everyone had a good time and I was surprised that even the small kids swam the entire time, despite the cold temperature of the water. Pizza party afterwards capped off a fun evening!

Christmas Day. Evan loved the presents Santa brought him and was excited that he ate the cookies left out for him and that the reindeer got the carrots. Grace didn't care at all :) Maybe next year she will care about Christmas. We stopped by the hospital to wish my mom a Merry Christmas and so that she could see Gracie in her outfit. Then it was off to Ripple's for a lovely time spent opening gifts, eating delicious food, and trying to keep an eye on the kids in their huge new house. Despite my parents, Aunt Anne and Uncle Mike (flu), and brother and sister not being there, it was nice. We did manage to set up the iPad so that my mom could watch us open gifts. That would not have been possible a few years ago!
