We bought a few blow-up pools for this summer and Sunday night we brought out the whale that spouts water. Evan had a blast...can you tell? He especially loved it when Eric tossed him around in the water. Boys will be boys!

Sunday we headed to the Dells just for fun...no real plans or anything, we just wanted to go on a mini get-away and this was the obvious destination. We stopped in Sauk Prairie to walk along the river and then had lunch and did some shopping in the Dells.

back downtown...

...for Art Fair on the Square...which has grown into a can’t-miss-it summertime destination for fine arts enthusiasts from across the Midwest. The 51st annual summer art fair features music, entertainment, and outdoor dining, as well as the work of nearly 500 artists exhibiting works in mixed media, ceramics, drawings, graphics, prints, fiber, leather, furniture, glass, jewelry, metalworks, paintings, photographs, sculpture, 3D mixed media, and wood. Whew, that was a long sentence. Lots of great stuff, far too expensive and nice to ever make it into our house. Oh well, we can always wish and in the meantime just enjoy looking!

Wednesday evening we went to Concerts on the Square for the first time this year. I love being downtown on a calm summers night. We went inside the Capitol for a little bit but for the most part we just walked around the square listening to music and watching all the people enjoying their dinner.

Mat Kearney Live from Studio M - and it was gooooood. He sang the 4 songs I was hoping for and seemed like a nice, funny guy.

I got a picture of the 2 fawns! Sunday morning they were in front of our neighbors house so I managed to get a few snapshots.

Pictures from the picnic! Evan had lots of fun swimming in the pool and playing with his cousins, and of course playing the drums in the basement. The only way we could get him to hang out with us on the deck was if he had the drum sticks and could play out there :)
