Barb and Jim took us all out for a birthday celebration, in honor of Evan turning six years old. It was fantastic...a table was decorated, Evan and Grace both got presents, a delicious dinner was served, Happy Birthday song and ice cream sundae. And don't forget a ride on the carousel! It was so thoughtful of Barb and Jim. We all had a great time. Evan can't stop talking about it!

Evan is very excited about turning six and the changes that this year will bring. He seems ready for kindergarten and when we talk about it, he doesn't seem nervous, just excited to meet new friends. I think the kindergarten camp we did over the summer was perfect - so far it really seems to have prepared him.

Another kite flying session on a beautiful summer day.

Love these picture of Grace at the park.

Family fun night at Culvers, reading at Barnes N Noble, playing at the mall (she was so proud of herself for climbing all the way up), heading to garage sales, and visiting puppies at Animart. All in a days fun.

Evan photobombing a picture that was supposed to be of Gracie looking at a frog we caught. Perfect, since Evan has no idea what a photobomb is.

A few photos of Grace being Grace...don't worry, that's chocolate on her face in the first picture :)

We spent most of the weekend at the Sun Prairie Sweet Corn Festival and it was great this year. The weather was perfect and I had free passes for parking and corn from the radio station. Does it look like the kids had fun? Evan gave the dunk tank a try, and he knocked the kid in! He was very proud of himself.
