We were still recovering from a hectic week and a few snotty noses and coughs, but we managed to have a nice family day on Sunday. Museum in the morning, home for nap and lunch, then to the UW Women's hockey game. We took Evan's friend Ian and the kids had a great time. I was surprised by how much Evan was into the game, he practically screamed the entire game for the Badgers to "Score! Get the puck! Go Badgers! Get 'em Bucky!" It was rather entertaining just listening to him, who needed to watch the game?

A bunch of us went to Matt's final regular season basketball game. Although he had an injury all season, he had a great attitude and went to every practice and game. His team missed him, they could have used his help all season. That being said, his teammates put on a great final show. With 1.2 seconds left in the game and down by 1, another fellow senior hit a fall away 3-pointer to win it at the buzzer. It was AWESOME. Evan and Grace did great as it was a late night for them.
Last week I had one of the best nights ever. One of my favorite bands, the Avett Brothers, were in town for a concert. I had one ticket (I don't mind going to concerts by myself, and this way we saved money on Eric's ticket and a babysitter, plus he didn’t want to go). So, I worked a radio event beforehand and learned that there would be a meet and greet with the band. I almost cried I was so excited. The guys were so nice, I got a CD signed and I told them I specifically loved one of their songs and I thought it was so beautiful. They played it as the final song of the night! It was so awesome. When I got home I actually told Eric I didn't want to go to bed because I didn't want the night to be over. I immediately regretted saying that as it was so the most cheesy thing I've ever said.
Best. Night. Ever.
Best. Night. Ever.
Big Grace's birthday party - all the kids from Judy's daycare were able
to make it, and Evan loved seeing all his old friends. I enjoyed
catching up with the parents, and of course Judy. She is just the best,
Eric and I are so grateful to her and her family for the outstanding
care they provided Evan.

Grace just recently reached the age where she will sit and smile for the
camera, which of course I love. She and Evan are continuing to work at
getting along, and it's going pretty good. Evan is getting better at
being patient with her, and Grace listens (most of the time), when he
tries to explain to her that he would like a toy back or that he would
rather play on his own.
